“Hollywood Josh” hails from a longstanding and successful history of boxing"
Having boxed as an amateur with the Lynn AC Club in London since the age of 17, Joshua has naturally developed his boxing experience in an environment of discipline but also in an atmosphere of fun and camaraderie. Boxing became not just an activity but an everyday part of life.
Born and raised in Southeast London, Joshua developed a keen passion for boxing. After enrolling in college with a view to a degree in fine art, Joshua’s attention turned toward boxing - he was drawn to the ring where he found early success.
Leading up to his professional boxing transition, Joshua pursued external exposure to training camps outside of London. Specifically joining the Sauerland brothers in Berlin and also in Denmark. This allowed Josh to mature and gain an insight to professional level boxing. The coaches saw the potential of Joshua’s talent and encouraged Joshua to pursue his boxing career. Upon returning to London, he also trained with Mark Tibbs for some time, who then introduced Joshua to his present manager, Mickey Helliet.
Now 12-0, unbeaten Josh heads in 2019 with a Southern Area title shot next, facing another unbeaten fighter at York Hall on March 9th. The stars are aligning for Hollywood.
Joshua now resides in Central London. Due to high demand, he maintains status as a top personal trainer in Central London, helping others develop a skill and love for boxing. He coaches both children and adults who have commended him for the patience, expertise and teaching ability. Joshua is also currently working on a TV drama. This is an undisclosed project, but the reappearance of him on the screen is forthcoming.
